Raymond started to work for Parks Canada in 1982 as a lockman at Kingston Mills Ontario. Two years later he was transferred
to Narrows Locks with Gord McVeety, lockmaster.
Once a year, a party was held at Narrows Locks and Ray and Claudette would bring their instruments and play music.

In 1986, Raymond started to work at Jones Falls. At Jones Falls.Raymond was more than just a lockman. He was also an interpreter. He always had a friendly smile and a warm welcome.

As time went by, Raymond started to play his accordion for the boaters.at Jones Falls.
Raymond'ssupervisors were
Ed Dale,lockmaster and Jim Watters.
Together they worked well as a team. |

Thousands of tourists would come to see the magnificient place by car.
While Raymond was working at Jones Falls, |

Raymond worked on the upper locks at Jones Falls and locked over 4000 boats per year. |

He met many people and formed many lasting friendships. |

In 2001, Raymond retired. He often returns to Jones Falls,to play his accordion and meet old friends
